What is Numerology, and how does it work?
Numerology is an ancient science that interprets the meaning of numbers, number combinations, letters, and symbols in one’s life. This art can help us delve into the universe’s fundamental patterns and reveal new truths about ourselves.
Numerology is the belief that the universe is a system that, when broken down, leaves us with the basic elements, which are numbers.
A numerologist can take multiple elements of a person and break them down into meaningful numbers using various methods by understanding that everything in the world is dependent on and can equate to numbers.
These numbers can then be used to help us better understand the world and ourselves as individuals, where you can discover insights about your purpose and personality traits by working things like your life path number, expression number, and heart’s desire number, among many others.
What is a Life-Path Number?
Your Life-Path number is most-likely the most important numerological factor to consider. Your birth date determines this number, which represents who you are right now.
How Are Numbers Calculated in Numerology?
The method of addition (Numerological reduction) is used to determine the meaning of numbers of any value.
This method of simplifying complex concepts aids in the reduction of all numerical values to single-digit numbers ranging from 1 to 9.
This method is based on the principle that all fundamental numbers are source elements capable of stating the entire range of numbers.
For instance, two consecutive additions turn number 88357 into 31, and then into single-digit number 4.
- STEP 1. 88357 → 88357 → 8 + 8 + 3 + 5 + 7 = 31
- STEP 2. 31→ 3 + 1 = 4
When reducing numbers, it is crucial to always keep in mind one important rule: if you have got a combination of numbers 11, 22, 13, 14, 16 or 19 at any of the steps, you do not need to continue the process of reduction. Thus, you have got a special number.
The nine single-digit numbers in Numerology are the foundation of the study of Numerology.
In Numerology, these numbers represent a specific set of personality traits, symbolism (spiritual or otherwise), and meaning. It’s almost as if each of them has their own distinct personality!
Understanding the meaning of these numbers in Numerology allows us to better understand the profound messages they send us, particularly when they appear in our chart or throughout our lives.
We reduce almost every calculation in Numerology to a single digit. And, with a few exceptions, such as Master Numbers or Angel Numbers, we will almost always continue to reduce until we reach one of these single digits.
There are a number of places that these single-digit Numerology numbers can show up:
- Life Path number
- Name Numerology
- Soul Urge number
- Expression number
- Birth Date number
- Numerology compatibility
- Destiny number
Marriage numerology and numerology compatibility:
As previously stated, while each person receives her own numerology report, we can also bring two people’s numbers and reports together to see what kind of relationship they can and will have.
It’s like measuring the movements of planets – while the Sun and Moon chase each other in an endless and completely predictable game, we all know who the source of light in that relationship is!
So, in your relationship, perhaps one person takes on the responsibility of being the light, while the other acts as an emotional free-rider. Or maybe you have a lovely cosmic dance, with each partner doing their part.
Numerology can help you figure out what kind of relationship you have and can have, as well as other things. The partners you attract can help you better understand yourself, and you can see this clearly using your own numerology report.
